What to put in your media kit.
A brand decides in seconds whether to keep reading. A good media kit answers their first five questions before they have to ask.
1. Your best videos, first
Put two or three videos at the very top, best one first, and pick the ones closest to the brands you want to work with. If you don’t have brand work yet, spec videos made with products you already own count.
2. One line on who you are
Your niche and what you make, in a sentence. “Skincare and morning routines for busy twenty-somethings” tells a brand more than a long bio.
3. Your audience, in numbers
Platforms, followers, and where your audience lives. If you mainly do UGC, say so. Brands buying UGC care more about your videos than your follower count.
4. Proof that it works
Average views, engagement, and any results from past brand work. One real number, like “2 videos, 1.4M views”, beats a list of logos.
5. What you offer, and how to reach you
The formats you make, the platforms you post on, and one way to get in touch.
What to leave out:
- Your full rate card. Share prices once you’ve seen the brief, so you can quote for what they actually need.
- Old or off-niche work. Every video should look like something they’d want to buy.
- Numbers with no context. “10K followers” says less than where they live and how they engage.
- Pages of text. One page is plenty.
Quick tip: update your numbers every month. Old stats make brands wonder what changed.
